Strong Winds Blow Snow Off Mt. Princeton
We received about three to six inches of snow overnight. This morning, I drove towards Chalk Creek Canyon and Nathrop to capture some pictures of the snow. It was extremely windy outside, and the photo above shows snow being blown off of Mt. Princeton. People keep asking me what my holiday plans are. On Christmas Day, I tentatively plan to visit the Great Sand Dunes and reach High Dune. Sometime around New Year's, the plan is to visit friends in Telluride and sleep overnight. We might go snowshoeing and I'm sure I'll have opportunities to take some good mountain scenery photos! :) -Steve (December 22, 2007)
