Mt. Princeton, Mt. Yale and Arkansas River
This morning I reached the summit of Ruby Mountain, located east of Nathrop. It was a modest hike to the top, but the experience was very enjoyable and peaceful. The picture above includes Mt. Princeton, Mt. Yale and the Arkansas River flowing at the base of the mountain. If all goes well, the plan is to reach the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain (alt. 8,403), a nearby peak north of Ruby Mountain. Click here to view a topographical map of the area if you're interested in learning more. Not much is really exciting in my life. The new Honda is doing well and my Thursday hike (near Twin Lakes) to an old "ghost town resort" was noteworthy. Much of my life seems quite connected to the adventuring I do out here it seems. ;) -Steve (October 27, 2007)
