It Has Been Quite A Rainy Colorado Summer

This afternoon I drove to Tincup in Gunnison County with the hopes of reaching Mirror Lake to assess the possibilities of hiking to the summit of Emma Burr Mountain. My Honda Accord, however, had a tough time on the rough three mile stretch from Tincup to the lake, and I sadly turned back. Grrrrrrrrr! I need a Jeep!

On the way back to Buena Vista, I stopped at Chaffee County Road 339 (near the Drive-In) and captured the view above of Mt. Princeton. It has been fairly cloudy with some rainfall most days recently, and our summer is considered wetter than usual for Colorado standards.
