Home Photos of a Morning Rainbow - Buena Vista, Colorado August 6, 2009 - At 7:15 a.m., I walked outside and noticed a large and vivid rainbow spanning in a full half arch to the west. Immediately I pulled out my camera and knew, with Mt. Princeton in the background, that this would potentially be an amazing picture! :) I snapped one photo with my cell phone and tweeted it. If you had been following me on Twitter, you would have seen this photo twelve hours earlier. ;) I was en route to Leadville on Highway 24 when I gained a clearer view of the rainbow north of Buena Vista. I probably should have captured the entire arch, but my camera wasn't capable of fitting it all in. (I've stitched photos of a full rainbow before and they never quite come out as good.)
