Big Puffy Clouds Above Mt. Princeton
I took this picture at the spot on the side of Highway 24, heading south as one leaves town. There were actually some horses in the foreground, but I took greater notice of the blue skies and large puffy clouds above. I have many friends in Texas who enjoy my photography and one recently informed me that big blue skies with sharp, contrasting clouds are not very common in Texas. In view of that, I thought this photo of Mt. Princeton might be worthy of display.
After getting some work done this morning, I went for a quick drive to Poncha Springs and wound up taking the dirt road towards Marshall Pass, which is part of the Continental Divide. About four miles from the summit, a sign said that road was closed and snow and mud began to appear on the road, so I turned around. Oh well! :p)
Anyway, I hope you are enjoying this web site and its dedication to Mt. Princeton photography. If you have specific photo requests, you are welcome to make them on the Mt. Princeton Forum.
Have a great one! -Steve :) (April 26, 2006)
