Standing On The Summit Of Turner Peak
Now this view of Mt. Princeton was a particularly gratifying one! Yesterday morning I hiked to the summit of Turner Peak (alt. 13,232 feet), a mountain located between Cottonwood Pass and Mt. Yale. The peak's distinct pointy-shaped top can be seen on various parts of Cottonwood Pass Road on the north side of the canyon.
The warm season is really beginning to take off and yesterday Buena Vista enjoyed a high of 76 degrees, the highest temperature we've had so far for 2007! If you are seeking to hit the trails, I encourage you to view my list of hikes in the Buena Vista area. I am slowly building a directory of some of the best trails this area has to offer.
