Late April Snowfall In Colorado's Mountains
Snow is coming down at 10,000+ feet in the Sawatch Range today. Also a friend in Colorado Springs stated their school district closed because of snow. Many days the sky has looked like this above Mt. Princeton; it is gray, silvery and dark. I finished my Day 3 page, my hike from Buena Vista to Nathrop. I hope to make a dent in completing Browns Canyon today. Oh, and if you are only interested in pictures, you can see photos from the final two days: Poncha Springs and Poncha Pass. Lastly, I paid a visit to Clear Creek Reservoir in north Chaffee County. As of two days ago, the lake is slowly but surely thawing out. :) -Steve (April 23, 2010) |
