Memorial Day In Buena Vista

Mt. Princeton In Colorado

I took a day off from photographing Mt. Princeton and instead focused on my attention on getting some good shots up at the Independence Pass summit. There is still a lot of snow up there! With the pass now open, I look forward to spending some time in Aspen and Glenwood Springs.

So today's photo on Memorial Day was taken on the shoulder of Rodeo Road, just south of the Maxwell Schoolhouse. It is so nice that line of cottonwoods green! :)

And because it is Memorial Day, I want to thank everyone who is currently serving and has served in our military. As we reflected today on those who paid the ultimate price to secure our freedom, I am filled with gratitude. As if being blessed to live in America were enough, to think I live in the heart of Colorado amidst all of these beautiful Rocky Mountains is sometimes more than I can fathom. I am indeed a blessed man!
