Herd Of Elk At Base Of Mt. Princeton

After enjoying breakfast with a friend at the Evergreen Cafe in Buena Vista, I ventured on Chaffee County Road 339 for a routine picture of Mt. Princeton. That's when I saw a herd of approximately 45 elk roaming about the valley! I spent the next 30 minutes getting as close as I could to the elk, and while I had closer shots of the elk, this is my best one that includes Mt. Princeton.

In other news, I wrote "Day 12" of my bike trip, and if all goes well, I will finish "Day 13" later this afternoon. :)
