Mt. Princeton, Mt. Antero, Mt. Shavano and Tabeguache Peak

Rocky Mountains

Here's another photo from my hike of Mt. Yale. While above timberline, I snapped this shot that included four Colorado 14ers: 1) Mt. Princeton, 2) Mt. Antero, 3) Mt. Shavano and 4) Tabeguache Peak. A friend asked me for the name of the peak to the right of Mt. Princeton, and upon looking on my topographical map, I don't know. It looks like it's about 12,800 feet and directly west of Mt. Princeton. Maybe I'll research that. ;)

Today I have a Colorado Springs friend spending time with me in Buena Vista. We've had a nice time so far: Breakfast at the Evergreen Cafe, a short walk at Twin Lakes, a drive to the closing gate leading to Independence Pass, and some walking around in downtown Leadville. Once I'm done with this entry, I'll be driving him to the Cottonwood Pass Road gate. I'm 95% sure the road is still closed, but you never know ... :) (Actually, I just want to take him up there to show him the canyon that I spend so much stinkin' time in with bicycling training. I can't wait to bike Cottonwood Pass!)
