Standing On The Summit Of Emma Burr Mountain
This morning my friend Derrick and I reached the summit of Emma Burr Mountain, a 13er located on the Continental Divide. We started in the Mineral Basin area (located far up South Cottonwood Canyon) and reached this peak that stands at approximately 13,540 feet. Interestingly, it is the tallest point on the Continental Divide between the San Juan Mountains and the Summit County area. While at the summit, the view to the east (photo above) included Mt. Princeton. It was a great view, excluding the fact that the sun's lightning was in that direction.
Have a great day, my friends!
