Easter Sunday - Mt. Princeton Looks Great On Sunny Day
I pulled over on Highway 24 just north of Buena Vista and snapped this shot from my car, and I thought more of a zoom-in shot would change things up a bit.
Ah, but I would like to ramble a bit about my morning bike ride in Cottonwood Canyon towards Cottonwood Pass. I didn't bring my camera along, but I biked from my cabin to the Cottonwood Pass Road gate at the Denny Creek Trailhead. It was 10.7 miles of some major uphills, taking me 1.5 hours to reach that point. (I think it's another grueling 8 miles to the Cottonwood Pass summit.)
On the way down, I whizzed in the low 30's mph, reaching a high of 42 mph. I could have easily gone faster, but man, going at 40 mph felt fast enough! What a ride!
I'd like to give special thanks to my God for that beautiful morning on such a special day! :) - Steve (April 16, 2006)
