A Relaxing Walk Near Cottonwood Pass
I had some time a few hours before participating in a fantasy football draft yesterday, and I decided to drive up Chaffee County Road 306 towards Cottonwood Pass. I walked a short distance on the trail leading to Lost Lake to capture some photos of Turner Peak, a "13er" in the area. I also captured the picture above, which includes "Jones Mountain South" (right) and Mt. Princeton's summit way out in the distance to the left. The agenda for the week: Have dinner with a friend in Colorado Springs on Monday night, hike Mt. Antero on Tuesday and camp in Ouray with friends beginning on Saturday. It should be a memorable week! -Steve (August 26, 2007)
