Our Ascent Of Castle Rock - Chaffee County, Colorado
On Friday afternoon, my hiking buddy Derrick and I climbed to the summit of Castle Rock, a distinct rocky point in Chaffee County located near Trout Creek Pass. As one travels on Highway 24, between Trout Creek Pass and Buena Vista, Castle Rock (alt. 9,792 feet) stands prominently to the south.
I am behind in creating new Colorado pages and photo galleries. I am still working on "Day 1" of my Chaffee County walk, and now I have this Castle Rock page to create. By the way, this Castle Rock should not be confused with the well-known Castle Rock in Douglas County. ;)
